Origin
Hi, I’m Gary — and this is the beginning of Made In His Image.
Made In His Image is a storytelling project about gratitude, hope, and light. I meet people, take their portraits, and ask them what they’re grateful for — even when life isn’t perfect. Because no matter what we’ve walked through, there is always something to be thankful for.
The name comes from the truth that each of us is wonderfully made — perfect in our uniqueness. This isn’t just a photography project; it’s about reassurance, perspective, and connection.
The Beginning
This project was placed on my heart back in 2023, but life took me off track. Today, I’m grateful to finally step forward and begin. I’m starting here in Singapore, but as I travel, I’ll bring these stories across borders — sharing voices from every place I visit.
For me personally, I’m grateful for the chance to create, to meet people, and to share their light through my lens. I’m grateful for love, courage, and the reminder that we are never truly alone.
Purpose Statement
Gratitude changes everything.
It helps us see beauty where we once saw brokenness.
It turns moments into memories, and pain into strength.
It reminds us that we are made perfectly, loved deeply,
and never beyond hope.
The Questions That Open Hearts
Every story begins with gentle questions about gratitude:
– A small joy from today
– A person you treasure
– A memory you hold close
– A challenge that shaped you
– A moment that brought you peace

These answers become the stories of light.
Why It Matters
My past is a complete 180° from who I am now. I believe even our scars can become light for someone else.
More than anything, I hope this project brings comfort and hope — a reminder that no matter what happens in life, we can still find things to be grateful for, and that gratitude changes how we see ourselves and the world.
Made In His Image is for everyone who has walked through difficult seasons and is learning to see the beauty that remains — a reminder that you are made perfectly, loved deeply, and never beyond hope.
Thank you for being here.
Your story matters too.
